Northern Epirus Case
The Northern Epirus case represents a collective study.
It is based, on the one hand, on published and known documentation,
formal governmental reviews, historic facts and diplomatic theses and on the other hand on non issued papers,
political announcements as well as Hellenic and foreign writers’ estimations.
The responsibility of this case study belongs to the Report for International Affairs and was not just an inspiration of the Hellenic External Affairs Office.
Though, a major and thorough scrutiny was held, in order this archive keeps up with the correct national direction on the Northern Epirus case, as long as with the Hellenic – Albanian relations themselves.

The history of our homeland
The history of Northern Epirus must be seen as attached to the history of Epirus (Greece), as a part of the history of the Hellenism itself. Time wise, until the official separation of Epirus -in 1913- this ethnological & geographically united area functioned as a unique entity.
